We have been very busy over the last month in Pre-K 3! Fall is moving along quickly and there has been a lot going on. After our Halloween fun, we started a Creative Curriculum unit on boxes. We collected many boxes, big and small, and the children loved exploring them. Food boxes were brought in from home, for our grocery store center in drama. The students enjoyed playing cashier with their friends. Bigger boxes were in our block center for the students to play with. They loved climbing into them, stacking them, and seeing what could fit inside. At circle time each day, we would guess what was inside the mystery box. The children had to ask "yes" and "no" questions to try and get clues to figure out what was inside. This was tricky at first, but they soon learned the types of questions that would help narrow down the guesses! It was a lot of fun! We've also been learning about the first Thanksgiving and how the pilgrims and Indians worked together and became friends. It's been fun playing in the teepee and Mayflower! Come along and see what we've been up to......
Mrs. McRae's daughter, Annie, got to come visit us on her fall break! She loved getting to finally meet all of our friends!
Forester said, "Look Mrs. McRae....that's how old I am!"
Spirit Day! Geaux Tigers!!!
Look who Marshall dressed up as for Halloween?? Our good friend Curious George!!
Guessing what's in the mystery box..... Mrs. Jones found a little friend for our mystery box! This little guy wanted to get out and meet Mr. Potato Head!
We can't wait to see our grandparents and grand-friends on Friday
for Grandparents' Day! We hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving!
