Fun with Clothes

It has been a lot of fun learning about clothes this month.  Thank you for sending in clothes for us to investigate.  We have sorted them by color, how we wear them, and if they are fancy or casual.  We have talked about fabrics, ways to fasten our clothes, and why clothes come in different sizes.

Mrs. McRae's mother came to visit our class to show the boys and girls how she is knitting a sweater for her grandson.  They found it very interesting to see the sweater in pieces right now! Mrs. "Susu" told them she would bring the sweater back when she was all through knitting it! Thanks for your visit Susu!

Listening to Mrs. Susu talk about her knitting.

We learned how a V-neck sweater is sewn in pieces.

Evan tried on a sleeve to see if it would fit!

We also enjoyed Jack's mommy and baby brother, Alston, coming for a visit. Mrs. Sally talked about how Jack has outgrown his baby clothes and given them to Alston to wear.  She even brought a precious picture of Jack as a baby wearing the very outfit Alston had on! Boy do they look alike! :)  Thank you for your visit!  It was lots of fun!

We had a lot of fun celebrating 2 special birthdays!
Happy Birthday Margaret!

Happy Birthday Thomas!

Sloan enjoys celebrating birthdays too!!

  1. Amy, These are the cutest pictures! Your class is having so much fun! I love the fabric collages and hanging the clothes on a clothesline. Great fine motor skill practice, too! Catherine looks super cute in that costume! Thanks for sharing!
