Roll it, Make it, Stamp it, Write it

We use the Handwriting Without Tears writing program in our preschool.  In Pre K 3, we do a lot of fine motor exercises in our centers to help strengthen our hand muscles.  We use tweezers to grip small pom poms, we use scissors for cutting, we play with play dough, and we color with small crayon rocks.  All of these activities strengthen our muscles for handwriting.
Last week the students had fun rolling out play dough to form the first letter of their name.  Then they used the wooden piece stamps to stamp out their letter.  And finally they wrote their letter on the magnet board.  Everyone was very proud of themselves!!  I was proud of them too! :)
We also had Carter's birthday last week!  We had fun celebrating with his mommy when she brought cupcakes!

Happy Birthday Carter!!!
