Around The Room and The Best Play Dough Recipe!

Here are some pictures from our classroom lately.  We are enjoying our clothing study and have learned all about different fabrics and why we wear certain clothes.  This week in our drama center we are dressing up in the all of the clothing our friends brought from home.  It is a lot of fun!  We have also learned how to play dominoes and we love it!
Please scroll down to see the recipe for our favorite homemade play dough.  We like to make it in the classroom and have SO much fun playing with it!  Last week we made some pink valentine play dough!

Easy No Bake Play Dough
Mix together:
1 c flour
1 c salt
2 T oil
2 T cream of tartar
Then add 1 1/2 c hot water and 1 more c of flour.  Stir together and add drops of food coloring if desired.  Knead together and add more flour or oil, if needed, to make the right consistency.  You can also add spices and scents to make your play dough smell yummy!  And this stays great for several weeks in a ziplock bag. :)  Such a great activity to build those fine motor muscles!
