A Style Show!

During our clothes unit we learned how to sew.  Everyone got a burlap square, some rainbow yarn, a plastic needle, and a couple of big buttons.  This was a learning process, but we eventually got the hang of it!

Here is our clothes collection from home!  It was so much fun to dress up in our outfits.  We even practiced hanging up our clothes on hangers.  (I hope they are still practicing this at home with their clothes!!) :)

We measured a giant "Daddy" shoe and a little baby shoe.   The big shoe was 12 unifix cubes longer than the baby shoe!

It was great to see the children helping eachother dress.  Boyd worked on Burke's buttons for 10 minutes, until they were all fastened!  Great job Boyd!!

Deciding what to wear for the fashion show.....

We ended our clothes unit with a fashion show!  The children picked a favorite outfit to wear from our class clothes collection.  Some kids picked the clothes they brought from home and others chose someone else's outfit.  We set up a runway and spotlight in Mrs. Dore's room and one by one, the children walked the runway to present their outfit.  It was lots of fun!
